Assylan Akimbayev, a senior researcher at the Survey Centre, February 10-12, took part in the World Government Summit on “Shaping the future government”.
This year, the annual government summit brought together more than 4,000 participants from 140 countries, including heads of state, ministers and business leaders, as well as senior representatives from 30 international organizations.
The summit participants for three days exchanged experiences in the provision of public services, government and innovation, and spoke about their vision of the government of the future.
Discussions covered topics such as the interdependent role of governments and people in improving well-being, the use of technologies by cities to increase happiness, the technology of artificial intelligence and its impact on humanity, as well as innovative ways to advance the sustainable development goals.
Forum was led by such speakers as the eighth UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon; IMF head Christine Lagarde, WEF founder Klaus Schwab, Nobel Prize laureates Paul Krugman, Jeffrey Sachs, Daniel Kahneman, and the chief editor of The Huffington Post Arianna Huffington and world-renowned business coach Tony Robbins.
Within the forum the participants had the opportunity to visit “Museum of the Future” - a unique platform for futuristic innovations and design. The museum offers visitors an interactive experience about the future of artificial intelligence and how it will affect different aspects of life in the future.
